Israeli Communication Minister Ayoub Kara yesterday visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and delivered a speech in a conference held in Dubai.

Kara, whose country’s army yesterday killed two 13-year-old and one 14-year-old Palestinians who were hunting birds in Gaza, said that “peace and security in every state… with economic and scientific progress is what guarantees a future for the coming generations.”

In a tweet following the event Kara wrote: “It is amazing and heartwarming to receive thunderous applause at the ITU conference in Dubai. I would like to thank the Government and people of the United Arab Emirates of Dubai for their hospitality and warm hospitality.”

Kara’s visit followed visits by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Oman on Thursday and the Israeli Culture Minister Miri Regev’s trip to Abu Dhabi over the weekend.

The Israeli national anthem was played for the first time in Abu Dhabi after an Israeli Judo player won a golden medal in a tournament held there. After standing for the national anthem, Regev visited the famous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the city.

Yesterday, Netanyahu’s office announced that the Israeli Transportation Minister Yesrael Katz is visiting Oman to take part in a conference, but the office said Katz is to hold political discussions, including building a railway connecting Israel with the Gulf States, through Jordan.
