November 13, 2018 at 1:28 pm

The National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces has condemned the Syrian regime’s violation of the Sochi agreement to preserve the ceasefire in the province of Idlib and nearby areas.

In a statement issued yesterday, the coalition said it had discussed the formation of the constitutional committee, the continuous disruption of its formation by the regime and its supporters, and their determination to impede the role of the United Nations in this regard.

The discussions had taken place during the General Assembly meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, on 10-11 November.

The participants underlined the importance of the political process in Geneva, sponsored and facilitated by the United Nations.
