The Palestinian Justice Ministry said the Israeli occupation forces’ targeting of Palestinian civilians and civil institutions are war crimes, stressing that the perpetrators must be prosecuted and held accountable.

The Palestinian ministry said in a statement yesterday that the targeting and killing of Palestinian civilians in cold blood, the shelling and destruction of dozens of buildings as well as civilian and media institutions like Al-Aqsa TV, and the damaging of hundreds of safe houses reflects the occupation’s disregard for international humanitarian law and all international conventions that criminalise attacking civilians and their properties.

The ministry explained that the US administration’s continuous defence of Israel’s false narrative, encourages Israel to continue committing its crimes.

The ministry called on the international community to urgently act and stop the Israeli occupation from committing more crimes.

It also called on the Arab League to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and to criminalise normalization with Israel and to use all possible means to pressure “the Israeli occupation to stop its crimes”.
