Pictures showing Palestinian officials helping Israeli occupation soldiers to fix their military vehicle have been shared by Palestinians on social media with mockery and outcry.

The head of Hebron Police for the Palestinian Authority Ahmed Abu Al-Rubb and the Fatah Secretary for the Hebron area Kamal Makhamreh were seen helping Israeli occupation forces change the tyre on their military vehicle, Quds News Network reported yesterday.

According to the report, Makhamreh, who is also the dean of education department at Hebron University, claimed that “the vehicle he and Abu Al-Rubb were riding was stopped by Israeli occupation forces and the Israeli soldiers asked them for equipment to fix a flat tyre, and when soldiers couldn’t, Abu Al-Rubb decided to do it himself and he succeeded.”

Palestinian Police announced late yesterday that Abu Al-Rubb had been suspended from his position as an investigation is being launched.
