Hezbollah is on alert and ready for any attacks by Israel, political bureau member Hassan Hoballah said.

“The resistance today can resist any Israeli aggression and inflict losses on it and can strike the enemy, as happened in the last aggression on Gaza in mid-November and the July war and the one before it,” he said in an exclusive interview with Shehab news site.

“After the July aggression, the Israeli occupation does not dare to do any hostile action against the resistance because it knows that the resistance can hit back.”

“Hezbollah can not allow the [Israeli] occupation to single out any of the resistance fronts,” he said adding that “the resistance is an integrated chain and cannot be separated from the resistance in Gaza and Lebanon. The enemy is one and the resistance is one.”

The Israeli army announced the start of “Operation Northern Shield” allegedly to uncover and destroy Hezbollah-built cross-border tunnels.

Israel’s Yedioth Aharonoth newspaper reported that “the Israeli ministers were instructed not to make any media statements about the operation”.
