The Yemeni government said yesterday that its delegation in Sweden has reached a “good” understanding with the Houthis on economic issues.
Marwan Damaj told reporters on the sidelines of consultations held in the Swedish capital Stockholm: “I think we have reached a good understanding on the economy, and the details will be announced.”
“Hudaydah revenues will be transferred to the central bank branch in the city and will be managed from the bank head office in Aden, according to the law,” the Yemeni official said.
The minister expected consultations on important issues including the economy and airports to come to an end later today.
Earlier yesterday, UN envoy Martin Griffiths’ office announced on Twitter that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will participate in the final day of consultations in Sweden.
Guterres will meet with the Yemeni government delegation and the Houthi delegation.
