Israeli occupation forces yesterday shot two Palestinian protesters as they took part in the 20th sea march as part of the “Great March of Return”.

Local sources said that hundreds of Palestinians took part in the protests in addition to 20 boats which gathered near the northern sea point in Gaza.

Occupation forces fired teargas at the protesters as soon as they gathered in the area, sources said. They also used live ammunition.

Palestinian medical sources said that two protesters were evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment, but both sustained light wounds. In addition, several received first aid assistance after inhaling tear gas.

Marwan Abul-Naser, member of the Central Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said during the march that the Palestinians “have clear demands and messages”.

“The Palestinians know what they want. They will not raise the while flag, but they will continue their struggle for freedom, return and independence.”
