Arab leaders who met in the Lebanese capital Beirut yesterday reaffirmed their support for Jerusalem, refugees and stressed on the importance of supporting the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Quds Press reported.

The meeting of ministers and prime ministers of the member states of the Arab League stressed their rejection to the US’ recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and called for supporting the steadfast Palestinian people.

The League also called for resolving the crisis of the Syrian refugees, as well as the “chronic crisis” of the Palestinian refugees. It called on the international community to support the host countries in order to decrease the economic and social burden of hosting the refugees.

Only three Arab presidents attended the Arab League meeting; the Qatari Emir, Mauritanian president and the Lebanese president.
