The Palestinian presidency warned on Tuesday that Israel is dragging the region into “religious conflict” through its continuous violations of the Palestinian people’s rights and their religious sanctities.
“The attacks on our people and Islamic and Christian sanctities and the recent racist decisions to deduct the Palestinian tax revenues are a blow to all agreements signed between the two sides, a violation of international law and a disregard for our people’s rights,” the presidency said in a statement.
The statement condemned the continued Israeli incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and the attacks on Muslim worshippers there.
It stressed that “these practices fall within a systematic Israeli policy to pressure our people and leadership in a failed attempt to discourage them from adhering to their national constants and rejection of the deal of the century.”
On Tuesday, an Israeli security force attacked Muslim worshippers inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, injuring a number of them and arresting others.
