A state of anger has prevailed across social media networks after a number of Saudi girls posted videos of them dancing in Riyadh’s streets.

The video showed footages of 12 prominent male and female dancers who were preparing for a public show, which is reportedly taking place in Riyadh “soon”.

Social media activists were split into some whom were supporting the dancers and the fact that the Islamic kingdom was becoming an “open-minded country”. Others strongly criticised them.

Saudi has shaken up its social, cultural, political and economic scenes driven by its 33-year-old Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. This including the reopening of cinemas for the first time in 40 years.
