30 Palestinians missing off coast of Greece

At least 30 Palestinians from Gaza were on board a refugee boat that capsized off the coast of Greece, Al-Quds newspaper reported yesterday.

According to the paper at least nine minors were lost, noting that there had been efforts to locate the area where they were lost at sea between Turkey and Greece.

Palestinian Authority Ambassador to Turkey Fayid Mustafa to Al-Watan Voice that the embassy had been in touch with all sides to gather information about the incident.

He stated that all the news reports about the incident did not report official sources so are as yet unconfirmed.

There have been 356 deaths in the Mediterranean Sea so far this year, according to estimates from the International Organisation for Migration.
