Jordan PM asks ministers to resign ahead of reshuffle

Jordanian Prime Minister Omar Al-Razzaz today asked members of his ministerial team to submit their resignations ahead of a government reshuffle in the coming days.

Al-Razzaz stressed that “the amendment comes in line with the requirements of the next phase, which requires more efforts to contribute to overcoming the challenges and the completion of the priorities and plans of the government.”

He thanked “all the ministers for their efforts during the last phase,” according to the source.

The reshuffle will be the third since the government was formed on 14 June 2018.

Al-Razzaz made the second amendment at the end of January, they included the cancellation of a ministry, the separation of two ministries and the appointment of two new ministers.

While the first reshuffle was carried out on 11 October. It saw ten ministers moved from the government and seven appointed.
