Israeli soldier, Hadar Goldin was captured during the 2014 Israeli offensive on the besieged Gaza Strip

Family of Israeli soldier Hadar Goldin, who was captured during the 2014 Israeli offensive on the besieged Gaza Strip, said they don’t think a prisoner swap between Israel and Hamas is being agreed.

“We do not believe in the reports about an imminent prisoner swap with Hamas prisoners,” Israel’s Channel 13 reported.

“We have understood the message when we have news reports on mass media, it means there is nothing achieved on the ground. What we have recently seen is a new defeat for Netanyahu and his cabinet.”

Family of the soldier said: “Netanyahu, the prime minister and defence minister, has to explain what happened as he had said that there would be no talks with Hamas before the release of the Israeli soldiers being captured in Gaza.”

“Since the abduction of our son, the Israeli government wasted several chances to put pressure on Hamas and reach the best prisoner swap.”
