The mother of an Israeli soldier killed in Gaza said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has promised her that he will not agree a deal with Hamas without the release of her son’s remains, Quds Net News has reported.

“Our struggle to regain Hadar has not come to an end yet,” Leah Goldin told Radio 103. “We have the promise from Netanyahu, who said there would not be a truce with Hamas and there would not be reconstruction projects in Gaza before the release of the [bodies of] soldiers [held in Gaza].”

She compared her son Hadar and other soldiers with humanitarian aid. “Do you offer humanitarian aid? Hadar and the others’ issue is humanitarian, too.”

Goldin claimed that there is a campaign to suppress the issue. “Military reporters told me that returning the soldiers remains is not related to a truce with Hamas. How is that, when the soldiers were sent to Gaza in order to defend Israel?”
