Twelve Israeli soldiers were injured in a car-ramming attack in Jerusalem today after a car sped towards them near the First Station.

The soldiers were taking part in military activity when the attack occurred, the Israeli army said.

One of the soldiers suffered severe injuries and was taken to hospital while the remaining 11 were lightly injured, reports said. The attacker escaped and a manhunt was launched.

Hours later, an Israeli soldier in the occupied West Bank was shot and lightly wounded near the illegal Dolev settlement near occupied Ramallah.
