Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone talk with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to the Kremlin on Monday, Anadolu Agency reported.

Putin and Netanyahu exchanged opinions on international issues as well as regional affairs in the Middle East, it said in a statement.

They agreed to further maintain contacts at various levels, it added.
