Yamina party MK Ayelet Shaked has described Israeli Prime Minister and Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu, and his wife Sara, as “dictators” and “tyrants” with a “lust for power”, Israeli media revealed on Tuesday.

Netanyahu only cares about his ongoing corruption trial, Shaked asserted in what the Israeli media described as “bombshell recordings” played on Israeli Channel 12.

The Times of Israel disclosed that Netanyahu is currently busy trying to bring Yamina into a right-wing coalition government, as the deadline for his mandate to form the government is to expire on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Shaked affirmed that if Naftali Bennett, chairman of the Yamina party, had the mandate to form a right-wing government, “he would not go left.”

She added: “But if [Netanyahu] gives the mandate to Bennett, and we fail to form a right-wing government because Gideon and Gantz [don’t budge], we are not prepared to head to another election,” The Times of Israel reported Shaked stating.

According to Shaked, if Yamina fails to form a right-wing government: “We will pursue the option [of a government] with the left, and try to persuade Bezalel to come with us, so we do not have to rely on Ra’am (an Arab Israeli party).”
