UAE is the third largest importer of Turkey arms

The United Arab Emirates came in third place in the list of countries importing Turkish defence products during the first quarter of 2021, Anadolu reported.

According to report, the United States ranked first, importing weapons to the value of $386 million, an increase of about 56 per cent over the corresponding period last year.

Azerbaijan came in second place with purchases amounting to more than $117 million, then the UAE came in third, with purchases worth more than $90 million.

Turkish defence exports also rose 47.7 per cent during the first third of 2021.

According to data from the Ministry of Commerce and the Exporters Council, the value of exports in January amounted to about $167 million and more than $233 million in February, about $247 million in March, and more than $302.5 million in April.
