Join us for a live conversation with Danny Morrison, co-editor of ‘A Shared Struggle: Stories of Palestinian and Irish Hunger Strikers‘. Morrison co-edited the book with Asad Abu Sharkh, a Palestinian-Irish academic, living in Dublin, whose family lived in Rafah refugee camp.

At the age of 22 Danny Morrison (born in Belfast, 1953) became the youngest editor of the Sinn Féin paper Republican News. He was imprisoned several times and twice charged with IRA membership, and is a former elected representative to the Stormont Assembly. During the 1981 hunger strike he was spokesperson for Bobby Sands who died on 5 May after 66 days without food. Danny is the author of several books and an editor and commentator on politics and culture.
