Jordan’s Queen Noor, widow of the late King Hussein, tweeted an article published by the Washington Report on Middle East Affairs urging “reforms” in the kingdom.

Titled “The Need for Economic and Political Reforms in Jordan,” the article quotes a number of experts that urge the Joe Biden administration to use its leverage to push for reforms, which the article portrays as much needed.

In recent years, Queen Noor has posted reports and tweets that criticised the situation in Jordan, more so after her son, former Crown Prince Hamzah Bin Hussein was accused by authorities of plotting to create turbulence in the country. Last April, Hamzah appeared in a video published by the BBC saying that he was placed under house arrest.

Hamzah is the step-brother of Jordan’s current monarch, King Abdullah.
