Israeli forces attacked 26 members of the media in September, the Journalist Support Committee (JSC) announced yesterday.

A report by JSC showed that some ten journalists were attacked and injured by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in September.

“The occupation forces arrested and detained more than three journalists, and renewed the arrest of three others,” the report read.

JSC pointed out that occupation authorities also prevented “five journalists from performing their job, one from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque for a year, and another one from travel.”

“The violations also included confiscating the job licenses of three journalists,” the rights organisation added.

The report did not provide details about the nationalities of the journalists.

JSC is a Geneva-based non-profit organisation that promotes and protects media freedom, freedom of expression, and rights of journalists.
