Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said yesterday, following his country’s bombing of Latakia Port in Syria, that Tel Aviv is fighting off the forces of evil, the Jerusalem Post reported.

“We are fighting off the forces of evil in this region, day and night,” the Jerusalem Post reported Bennett saying. “We will not stop for one second. It happens almost every day.”

He stressed: “We will continue to act against destructive forces; we will persevere and will not tire.”

Syrian state news agency SANA said that Israeli aircraft bombed the commercial port in Latakia, adding that a number of shipping containers caught fire.

Speaking at a press conference with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades in Jerusalem, Bennett said: “At the same time, we are strengthening our ties with our friends, in every area.”
