Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), yesterday, launched a security campaign with the aim of arresting young men and placing them in conscription camps in north-eastern Syria.

The military campaign was carried out in the countryside of Raqqa.

Local sources told the media that the forces had arrested “five young men from inside the Cavalry camp in Raqqa, and transferred them to the recruitment camps at the Suwaydiyah base.”

This is the first such campaign for the SDF in 2022. Similar campaigns were reported to have been carried out by the separatist forces last year, during which they had arrested a large number of young men.
