Israel’s global standing among the world’s most powerful nations has fallen by one place from last year, making it the 11th most powerful country in the world based on its economic and cultural influence, according to a recent ranking published by US News magazine.
“For its relatively small size, the country has played a large role in global affairs. The country has a strong economy, landmarks of significance to several religions and strained relationships with many of its Arab neighbors,” according to US News.
Israel ranks as the 11th most powerful country, with the ninth and tenth positions occupied by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, respectively. Last year, Israel ranked as the tenth most powerful country in the world.
The United States secured the top spot, being the “most dominant economic and military power in the world,” according to US News.
