Brazilian star, Neymar da Silva, plans to leave the Saudi Pro League at the end of the season and return to his former team.
The Spanish newspaper Sport said that Neymar plans to return to Santos at the end of next season in order to properly prepare to participate in the 2026 World Cup with Brazil.
It reported that friends close to Neymar and his father revealed that the player refused to sign a four-year contract with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal team because of his intention to return to Santos.
The newspaper noted that Neymar had already contacted Santos officials and discussed his plan to return.
Neymar signed a contract with Al-Hilal until 2025, with the possibility of extending for a third season. Recent reports claim he has clashed with his Al-Hilal coach, Jorge Jesus.
