The World Bank raised its growth forecast for the Turkish economy for the current year from 3.2 to 4.2 per cent.

This came in an updated report prepared by the World Bank and published yesterday under the title ‘Sluggish Growth, Rising Risks‘.

The report indicated that the Turkish economy is expected to record growth of 3.1 per cent in 2024, and 3.9 per cent in 2025, according to the Anadolu news agency, lowering its previous estimates for those periods.

In June, the World Bank said that it expected Turkiye’s economy to grow by 4.3 per cent next year, and 4.1 in 2025, Anadolu stated.
