Most of the victims of the massacre at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza were “children and women who lost their features”, the spokesman for the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Dr Ashraf Al-Qudra, has said.

In a statement on Facebook, Al-Qudra added: “The Baptist Hospital massacre is unparalleled and cannot be described. Hundreds of victims arrived at the hospital and ambulance crews are still removing the body parts.”

Most of the victims of the Baptist massacre were children and women whose features were lost. The victims arrived without heads, with torn body parts, and with their organs out.

“The influx of victims and the type of injuries went beyond the capabilities of the medical teams and ambulances. Doctors were performing surgeries on the ground and in the corridors, some of them without anaesthesia.”

“A large number of those injured in the hospital bombing are still awaiting operations, while medical teams are trying to save the lives of others in intensive care,” he explained, noting that “the remaining treatment capabilities will last only a few more hours before we announce their complete depletion.”

The deadly bombing of the hospital in Gaza City by the Israeli army last night killed more than 500 people. Footage on social media showed bodies scattered across the hospital grounds.
