Egypt: Gaza will become a mass grave if aid does not enter

The head of the Egyptian State Information Service (SIS), Diaa Rashwan, warned that the Gaza Strip will turn into the largest mass grave in history if aid does not enter the Strip.

During a press conference, Rashwan said a total of 457 tonnes of medicines and medical supplies, 251 tonnes of food, and 87 tonnes of water have entered the Strip so far. Aid has entered the Gaza Strip in 54 trucks since Saturday.

He stated that Al-Arish Airport received 39 planes filled with aid, the last of which was from Kenya.

Rashwan called for establishing mechanisms with relative international organisations to ensure the flow of aid, and not leave the matter to negotiations with Israel.

He criticised the Western media’s bias towards the Israeli occupation while covering the recent attacks on Gaza.
