Hamas delegation to visit Cairo within days: senior member

Mousa Abu Marzouk, a prominent member of Hamas’ political bureau, yesterday said a delegation from the resistance movement is expected to visit Cairo once the consultations reach an advanced stage. He anticipates that the visit will take place in the coming days.

During an interview with the Egyptian newspaper, Youm7, Abu Marzouk said the visit of the movement’s leadership to Egypt was welcomed by Cairo. He further mentioned that a permanent delegation of the movement would be set up in Cairo to conduct consultations and discussions on various issues.

He stressed that his movement positively views the position of Egypt regarding its rejection of the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza to Sinai, adding that this position is appreciated and serves the Palestinian people and prevents a new catastrophe.
