South Africa recalls all its diplomats from Israel over Gaza 'genocide'

South Africa has announced that it is recalling all its diplomats for consultation from Israel. South Africa has announced that it is recalling all its diplomats for consultation from Israel.

In a news conference Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, said: “Israel is threatening the stability of the global system by its conduct against the Palestinian people.”

Adding that the US is enabling Israel’s actions, she warned that this “makes a peaceful global order sit on tenterhooks.”

“For that reason,” she continued, “We, as the government of South Africa, have decided to recall all our diplomats in Tel Aviv for consultation.”

She added the cabinet noted the “disparaging remarks of the Israeli ambassador to South Africa about those who are opposing the atrocities and genocide of the Israeli government” and that the department of international relations has been instructed to “take the necessary measures within the diplomatic channels and protocols to deal with [his] conduct.”

Ntshavheni also said the position of the Israeli ambassador in the country was “untenable.”

Last week Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and Jordan recalled their ambassadors from the occupation state over its war crimes in Gaza.
