Israeli football fans assault man with Palestinian flag in Athens

A group of Israeli football team Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters assaulted a man carrying a Palestinian flag in Athens on Thursday. The victim was injured and hospitalised. The incident took place at Syntagma Square. Maccabi Tel Aviv was scheduled to compete against Greece’s Olympiacos in the Europa Conference League.
