Israel is systematically targeting shelters for displaced persons in Gaza and must be stopped, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry said in a statement yesterday.
Highlighting the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, including the targeting of an UNRWA school in the Nuseirat camp, the ministry said this is a continuation of a killing methodology that the international community has not ended, contrary to humanitarian values.
In the statement, Dr Sufyan Qudah, the ministry spokesperson, affirmed that these repeated attacks on humanitarian facilities blatantly violate international law and international humanitarian law. They reflect Israel’s clear intent to continue violence, reject peace and terrorise civilians.
The statement reiterated the call for the international community to take immediate and decisive steps to stop Israel’s crimes.
