The Israeli military expanded its land, air and sea attacks on various areas of the Gaza Strip yesterday. This escalation followed one of the most horrific massacres in the region, targeting the tents of displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, resulting in dozens of martyrs and injuries.

The Israeli army has committed four massacres against families in Gaza in the past 24 hours, with 141 martyrs and 400 injuries reported in hospitals. According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health, 38,584 Palestinians have been killed since 7 October and 88,881 injured.

On the ground, Israeli artillery has renewed its shelling of residential areas and shelters for the displaced, targeting Al-Shabora camp in Rafah, Al-Sahaba Street in Gaza City, and a location in Al-Maghraqa area in central Gaza.

Israeli air strikes have also hit northern Nuseirat in central Gaza, a house in the Qudaih neighbourhood of Abasan Al-Kabira town in the Khan Yunis Governorate, a house on Salah Al-Din Street opposite Al-Bureij camp, and a house next to Al-Lulu building in the Nuseirat camp.

Meanwhile, two Egyptian security sources told Reuters that ceasefire talks in Gaza have stalled after three days of intensive negotiations yielded no practical results. The sources indicated that the behaviour of Israeli negotiators suggests “internal disagreement”.
