Israel has reportedly bought $11 billion worth of US weapons since the start of its war on Gaza Strip on 7 October, according to its Defence Ministry.
The announcement coincided with the appointment of Aviram Hasson as the new head of Israel’s delegation to the United States, succeeding Brigadier General Mishel Ben Baruch, who held the position for five years.
The procured arsenal includes a third F-35 squadron, tank and armoured vehicle engines, and combat vehicles.
Additionally, the delegation has transported thousands of tonnes of military equipment to Israel via hundreds of air shipments and dozens of sea shipments.
The ministry highlighted that the volume of American weapons purchased since 7 October is the highest ever compared to any similar timeframe.
