Hamas has accused the British government of assisting Israel in its offensive on and military operations in the Gaza Strip, further straining relations between the Palestinian Resistance group and the United Kingdom.
According to a report by Al Jazeera, unnamed Hamas sources had informed it of the group’s concerns over UK’s role in the gathering of intelligence for Israel in its ongoing offensive on Gaza, asserting that the cooperation is being jointly conducted with the United States.
Stating that the UK is directly responsible for “killing thousands of women and children” in the besieged Gaza Strip, Hamas called on London to immediately cease its military cooperation with the Israeli Occupation.

The group’s accusation comes after revelations over the past year that both the US and UK military flights had been launched from British military bases in nearby Cyprus for the purpose of conducting surveillance missions over Gaza
Israeli intelligence officials have corroborated those reports in recent months, confirming to media outlets that British and American intelligence teams have been assisting Israel in the gathering of intelligence in an effort to locate and secure the release of Israeli hostages – missions that have, so far, ended up in yet more civilian deaths when Israeli forces use such intelligence to carry out operations in their typical fashion.
The surveillance assistance has further implicated the British government and armed forces in the Israeli offensive on the besieged Palestinian Territory and the numerous war crimes being committed upon the Palestinian population, signalling active participation rather than simply the supply of arms and military equipment.
