Hamas: Israeli attacks in West Bank will not halt the ‘rising tide of resistance’

Hamas yesterday stressed that the continued military operation launched by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank will not succeed in stopping the rising tide of resistance.

In a press statement, the movement said: “As we mourn the martyrs who are falling daily in the steadfast West Bank – over 30 since the military operation began last Wednesday – we affirm that this pure blood will not be shed in vain. Instead, it will escalate the resistance, intensify its exceptional operations, and fuel the growing anger nationwide.”

The movement hailed the resilience and the struggle of “our people and resistance fighters in the West Bank, especially in Tulkarm, which stands tall despite the continuous targeting, destruction and ongoing bulldozing by the Israeli occupation forces, as well as their brutal attacks on citizens and their properties.”

Hamas added, “The ongoing military operations and relentless aggression by the occupation confirm their long-standing and renewed plans to displace residents from the West Bank and implement the annexation plan endorsed by the fascist Israeli government, which will only be met with greater resilience and defiance by our people.”

The resistance movement called upon the Palestinian people to intensify their confrontation of the occupation, continuing the struggle as part of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle that is sweeping across the nation “until full liberation and the expulsion of the occupation”.
