Celebrities attending last night’s Emmys wore ceasefire pins, highlighting the need for an end to Israel’s bombing of Gaza.
Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan was among the stars who were seen wearing the pin which features a red background, orange hand and black heart on the red carpet. The pin shows support for Artists4Ceasefire who have been calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, the safe return of all hostages, and the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to the civilians in Gaza.
Reservation Dogs‘ Dallas Goldtooth and Devery Jacobs, Abbott Elementary writer Brittani Nichols and Caroline Joyner were also seen sporting the ceasefire pin.
Coughlan has previously worn the ceasefire pin while promoting the latest season of Bridgerton, saying at the time: “I feel very passionately about it.”
“I’m Irish also, so it’s sort of a different perspective. And I just feel, if I have this global platform, which I do at the minute, I think if I can hopefully raise funds for aid organisations — I have a fundraiser on my Instagram right now.”
