Israeli settlers attacked students and teaching staff at Arab Al-Ka’abneh Elementary School in the Ma’arjat area, northwest of Jericho in the occupied West Bank today, WAFA reported.
Local sources reported that the settlers were armed with batons which they used to attack the school, beat an elderly man and assault students and teachers.
They added that there is a state of panic and fear among local residents, especially women and children.
The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said in a brief statement that its crews dealt with three injuries following the attack, and they were transferred to the hospital for medical treatment.
The school remains under siege and the students are being abused inside, according to local sources.
Locals called on international humanitarian agencies to intervene immediately as the situation has reached an unprecedented level of danger.
