The Islamic Resistance in Iraq (IRI) launched another wave of military strikes against Israel yesterday in coordination with Hezbollah. In support of Palestinians and Lebanon, Iraqi resistance fighters used kamikaze drones to strike three key sites, including the suburbs of Haifa and southern Israeli-occupied territories, according to an official statement.
“The fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted two objectives with Arqab cruise missiles,” the statement confirmed, with the group pledging to continue its attacks in retaliation for Israeli actions against civilians.

Hezbollah also launched Fadi-1 rockets at the Israeli Ramat David air base near Haifa and targeted Israeli military installations in Safed, Karmiel, and the ATA military industries company near Sakhnin. The Lebanese resistance movement stated these attacks were in defence of Lebanon and to support Palestinian resistance fighters in Gaza.
These new attacks by Iraq follow an unprecedented strike on Wednesday when two occupation soldiers were killed and more than 20 others injured in a drone attack on a military base north of the Golan Heights.
It marked the first time Israeli forces publicly acknowledged casualties from Iraqi resistance operations. Abu Obeida, military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, praised the operation, stating, “We salute our brothers in the Iraqi Islamic Resistance for supporting our Palestinian people in the face of the Zionist aggression.”
He described the attack as a “qualitative operation” that left Israeli forces dead and wounded.
However, a report yesterday by Middle East Eye disputes claims that the Iraqi resistance was behind the deadly drone strike earlier in the week, citing sources within some of the factions, suggesting the operation may have been “fabricated.”
