The majority of Israelis either believe that Israel has lost the war against Hamas in Gaza or are uncertain of the outcome, according to a poll published by Kan Radio and reported by Ma’an news agency yesterday.

The poll revealed that the vast majority of Israelis would refuse to live in the Gaza envelope area after the war ends.

According to the results, only 27 per cent of Israelis believe Israel has won the war on Gaza, while 35 per cent think Israel has lost, and the remaining 38 per cent are unsure. This uncertainty is also reflected among voters of coalition parties, with 47 per cent saying Israel has emerged victorious, whereas 48 per cent of opposition voters believe the country has lost the war.

The poll further indicates that only 14 per cent of Israelis would be willing to reside in towns around Gaza post-war, with a staggering 86 per cent refusing to do so.
