The Israeli army has blown up an entire neighbourhood in the border town of Mays Al-Jabal in southern Lebanon.
Satellite images provided by Planet Labs revealed the massive destruction caused to more than 12 border towns and villages by the Israeli occupation’s military aggression in southern Lebanon.
Many of the destroyed towns have been inhabited for at least two centuries before being deserted due to the Israeli bombing campaign.
The images include towns between Kfar Kila in southeastern and southern Lebanon beyond the village of Mays Al-Jabal, then to the west beyond a base used by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and up to the village of Labboun.

Reuters said it has compared satellite images taken in October 2023 with those taken in September 2024, noting that many of the villages that suffered visible damage over the past month are located on hilltops overlooking Israel.
Mays Al-Jabal is a Lebanese village in the Marjeyoun district of Nabatieh Governorate. It is bordered to the south by the towns of Blida and Mazraat Mahbib, to the north by the town of Houla, to the west by the towns of Shaqra and Barashit, and to the east by Israel.
