Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said the fact that Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, and Lebanese Hezbollah are still fighting in Gaza and Lebanon respectively “will inevitably lead to victory.”

Addressing a meeting with members of Iran’s Assembly of Leadership Experts yesterday, Khamenei said: “According to current developments and the divine promise, the victory of the truth, the axis of truth and the resistance front is certain.”

Praising Hezbollah’s fighting capabilities, Khamenei said: “For nearly 40 years, Hezbollah has driven Israel back from Lebanese territory in many areas including from Beirut, Sidon, Tyre, and ultimately from most of southern Lebanon.”

He stressed that whoever thinks that Hezbollah has weakened following the assassination of many of its top leaders including Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah is “wrong”, because “it is a strong party that continues to confront.”

“Hezbollah has transformed from a small group of [fighters] into a great force capable of achieving many achievements, including forcing the enemy, which is armed with all kinds of weapons, supported politically, economically and through media by the world tyrants, to retreat, and this is a historical experience that we have witnessed,” he added.

“The [Israeli] enemy wanted to eliminate Hamas and failed, therefore it has killed thousands of innocent people and showed its ugly face to the world and isolated itself.”

“The [Israeli] enemy believes that by assassinating resistance leaders, Hamas will end, but the movement continues to fight, which means that the entity has failed to achieve its goals,” he added.
