The Islamic Resistance in Iraq yesterday claimed responsibility for launching four drone attacks against targets in northern and southern Israel.

In four statements between 03:00 and 05:30 GMT, it confirmed that it had launched drones towards “vital” targets, which it did not specify. It noted that two of them are in northern Israel and two in the south, “continuing our approach of resisting the occupation, and in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon.”

In addition, fires erupted in the Bet Shemesh area near the city of Jerusalem, after fragments of interceptor missiles fell on it, after the Israeli army intercepted a missile launched from Yemen.

The army had previously said in a statement that it detected a missile that crossed from the east towards areas south of the West Bank.
