Report: Israel killed more than 12,000 Palestine students since October 2023

The Israeli occupation army has killed more than 12,000 Palestinian students and injured 19,000 others in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank since 7 October, 2023.

In a report issued on Tuesday, the Palestinian Education Minister confirmed Israel has killed 11,249 school students and wounded 17,335 others during its devastating war on the besieged Gaza Strip. Israel has killed 80 students, wounded 479 and arrested 237 students in the occupied West Bank.

The report indicated that at least 697 university students have been killed and 1,523 others wounded in Gaza, while 35 students have been killed and 130 have been injured, in addition to the arrests of 229 students in the West Bank during the same period.

According to the report, the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza is depriving 88,000 students of their university education and 700,000 school students from attending school.

Around 444 school teachers and educational administrators have been killed and 2,491 wounded in Gaza, while 117 university professors and educational administrators have been killed, and 1,221 have been injured in the war.

In the occupied West Bank, the ministry’s data indicated that three school teachers were killed, 17 were injured and 144 arrested, while nine university administrators were arrested.

During its aggression, Israel attacked and destroyed 77 schools in Gaza and caused severe damage to 171 schools, including 126 public schools and 65 United Nations schools.

The Israeli occupation army has stormed and vandalised 91 schools and seven universities in the occupied West Bank during the same period.

With US support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since 7 October, 2023, leaving more than 146,000 martyrs and wounded, most of them women and children, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has killed dozens of children and the elderly.
