According to the report, the summit, held at the Presidential Complex, focused on bolstering economic, political and security ties between the two countries, which have become more tightly entwined in recent years.
In their negotiations, Erdogan and Al Thani focused on mutual investments and cooperation in energy, defence and technology, the report said.
Both leaders also looked for ways to develop trade and economic relationships, supplementing already high-volume investments and deals. Turkiye and Qatar have become the main partners of the region, and their relationship has developed in many directions, particularly in infrastructure and defence.
During the meeting, the issues covered included the conflict in Palestine and Syria, and a push for diplomatic settlements to long-standing conflicts. The two also discussed humanitarian work, with both nations promising to continue to provide relief aid in recently impacted regions.
In a joint statement after the meeting, Erdogan and Al Thani reiterated the Turkiye-Qatar partnership as a stabilising factor in the region.
