Syrian regime forces launched new air strikes on Idlib in northwestern Syria today, leaving at least three people dead and several others injured, according to initial reports.
Sources from the Civil Defence reported that a Su-22 fighter jet belonging to the Bashar Al-Assad regime targeted both Idlib city centre and the Maarrat Misrin district to its north.
The attack on the city centre resulted in three confirmed deaths and numerous injuries, according to early reports.
On Sunday, regime warplanes targeted many other neighbourhoods in the city of Idlib.
Anti-regime forces took control of large parts of Aleppo, including the Citadel, and parts of Idlib late on Friday. They later captured the Khan Shaykhun district, solidifying their control over the entire Idlib region.
