A senior official of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has said that the resistance will reach the Israeli occupation soldiers and illegal settlers “wherever they are.” Abdul Rahman Shadid made his comment after two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike in the occupied West Bank city of Tubas yesterday.

“The assassinations carried out by the Zionist occupation forces against the resistance fighters in the West Bank will not stop the qualitative resistance operations, but will instead increase them and backfire on the heart of the [Zionist] entity,” said Shadid. “The martyrs of Tubas and all of our other martyrs in the West Bank and Gaza fall within the brutal crimes committed by the occupation in the West Bank, coinciding with the ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip. This will lead to more resistance and Palestinian determination to remain committed to the land and holy sites.”

He insisted that the policies of the occupation state will not succeed in pushing the Palestinians to surrender, despite their great sacrifices. “The West Bank will remain an important reserve in the history of the Palestinian struggle. Qualitative operations have escalated and continue in the West Bank, despite the occupation’s relentless pursuits, which is proof that all the occupation state’s attempts will be thwarted in the face of the steadfastness and strength of the Palestinian resistance.”
