Israeli Army Radio reported, citing a military source, that Israel has significantly increased its troops in the occupied Golan Heights for fear of the complete collapse of the Syrian government headed by Bashar Al-Assad.
The Israeli occupation army has deployed the 210th Division to the border with Syria, fearing that events will get out of control and reach the border.
In the same context, Israeli Army Radio disclosed that senior security leaders had been summoned to a meeting in the past hours to discuss what it described as the accelerating collapse of the Al-Assad regime.
According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli army stated that it decided to reinforce air and ground forces in the occupied Golan Heights and is: “Monitoring developments and is prepared for all scenarios, offensive and defensive alike,” adding that it “will not tolerate any threat near the Israeli border.”
