The National Coalition of Palestinian Tribes, Clans and Families yesterday called on the Palestinian Authority (PA) to stop targeting and killing resistance fighters through its security forces in the occupied West Bank, Safa reported.
The group said in a statement: “Out of tribal responsibility, national sentiment, and concern for everyone, we appeal to our brothers in the security forces, urging and warning them to refrain from targeting our resisting sons in the West Bank in general and Jenin in particular.”
The statement stressed that the resistance fighters represent the true revolutionary spirit of the national cause for which great leaders like Yasser Arafat, Sheikh Yassin, Al-Shikaki, Abu Ali Mustafa, Al-Ayyash and Tawalbeh sacrificed their lives. It added that Gaza has paid unparalleled sacrifices in pursuing freedom.
“Jenin and the West Bank stood in solidarity with Gaza, which has never failed to fulfil its sacred duty,” the statement continued. “The resistance in Jenin and the West Bank is your unsheathed sword, do not break it. These fighters are your sons and brothers; embrace them, support them, and do not abandon them.”
It added: “The resistance fighters are your champions, do not undermine them. They are your assets, do not waste them. They are your revolutionary reservoir, do not forfeit them. Do not kill your lions, for the dogs of your enemy will devour you.”
In recent days, security forces in the occupied West Bank have launched a campaign against resistance fighters in Jenin, citing claims that they are “outlaws.”
