Despite the fact that a ceasefire agreement has been reached, dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured in the Gaza Strip last night after Israeli occupation forces targeted a kitchen near the Kuwaiti Hospital in Khan Yunis yesterday evening.

Hamas announced yesterday evening that it had submitted its response to the ceasefire agreement proposal to mediators and that it treated the proposal with a sense of “responsibility and positivity”, based on its commitment to “stopping the aggression on the Strip, and putting an end to the massacres and genocidal war to which it is being subjected.” US President Joe Biden and Qatar later confirmed that an agreement had been reached.

The deal comes into effect on Sunday and is due to see a withdrawal of occupation forces from almost all of the Gaza Strip and the release of Palestinians being held by Israel in its notorious detention centres.
